Many people with a website need a bit of extra help. Managing a site, updating the content, ensuring it’s secure and complies with all laws is a massive task.
Small training sessions – for groups or individuals – can help you to fill in the gaps in your knowledge. This will give you confidence so you can use your WordPress website creatively.
Elisabeth Klaar runs a 10 week evening class on ‘WordPress for Beginners’ at Hills Road Sixth Form College. She has broad experience of supporting individuals and small organisations and companies to make the most of their websites.
Current topics covered include:
- Gutenberg – the new ‘block editor’ for WordPress
- Writing content for your site
- Making sure your plugins are safe and updated correctly
- Learning how to understand pages and blog posts (and use them effectively)
We are also planning a package of support for people who plan to use WordPress.com instead of WordPress.org – watch this space!
Individuals and groups
You can book on a training course if we have one coming up, or you can request a session for yourself or your organisation. It may be possible to group you with others who have similar requirements to keep costs down for you. Get in touch to enquire!
Gutenberg Introduction – Half Day Training
Elisabeth Klaar and Zuzana Kunckova are jointly teaching a short course on Gutenberg, the new WordPress.org editor. It will cover all the basics and is ideal if you’ve been worried about switching off the ‘classic editor’!
